Why is there no record on how they built the pyramids of Giza?
Three or four questions like this have been asked in the past few days. Has the History / Discovery Channel been broadcasting nonsense again? There may well be no record of how the cathedral at Chartres in France was built either. And it is a far more complex and recent structure than any of the pyramids. The pyramids were built by Egyptians. By the time they had got round to building the three Great Pyramids at Giza, they had been building them for a few hundred years and had a lot of practice. A few of their early ones fell down because they were on a poor foundation or were built too steep. People learn by experience. The development of the pyramids from flat topped mud -brick tombs to stone stepped pyramids to smooth sided pyramids can be seen in the archaeological record.
