Why Learning Disability Dynamics?
Last night I went out with some of my sisters co-workers. It seems that not many people have learning disabilities or they are just not as open as I am to talk about their personal issues. I told the table of people about my learning disabilities and why I believe I have to offer other people with learning difficulties. Her co-workers perspectives (I assume all do not have a learning disabilities) shared their thoughts. Many of them believe that if you have a learning disability you are not as intelligent or have the same potential for success as everyone else. What was the most interesting is when I tell people about my learning disabilities, they are amazed that I have any at all. Here I am, a regular guy who seems just like them, but struggles with reading and writing. It is hard to believe that I have accomplished more than they have, yet have half the skills as far as grammar.
