Why men read womens magazines WHERE ARE the men?
We were somewhat taken aback by that question which came from so many men (and women) last week after the first issue of the new-look Flair. Well, the short is: No, we certainly haven’t abandoned you keep reading and in time you’ll see what we mean. In the meantime, the question prompted us to ask a few men we know why they read women’s magazines. Here are their answers. Don Creary: “We like to keep in touch with issues that matter to women so that we can be more sensitive to their needs.” Nigel Griffiths from Mandeville says he reads women’ magazines to learn all the secrets about them that women do not reveal about themselves. Pearnel Charles Jr., a law student: “I read them because I have four sisters and the magazines are usually lying around. The covers are attractive and the information helps me to better understand women, try to figure them out and learn what they think about men.
