Why must Local Sections report financial activity?

Because Local Sections are not independent associations, but are part of CWEA, using CWEA s tax ID for all activities, the CWEA Board incurs all liability and fulfils all financial reporting responsibilities, through the CWEA paid staff. Monthly financial reports are required, and must be received by CWEA staff within 3 weeks of the close of each month. Annual Budgets, and annual reports are also required within 30 days of fiscal year-end which is June 30th.
