Why Roman Catholics have or created “religious” images, statues, etc.?

0

The statues or images are not worshipped or prayed to. The statues, images, etc. are used to remind people to pray, remind them of the saints, Mary, Jesus, God, etc. Catholics are not praying to Mary, they talk to Mary and ask her to pray to God on their behalf. Similar to how some ask other people in their church to pray for them. If you ask your pastor to pray for you it is no different than asking Mary or a saint to pray for you as well. One is merely in spirit rather than in a body. Catholics worship and pray to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
