In today’s competitive environment, medical practices are looking for ways to improve the patient’s overall experience. Dentist offices now offer patients headphones and televisions to make their visit more enjoyable and less stressful. Hospitals are offering valet parking, and medical facilities spend thousands of dollars on interior decorators, but yet these places still make patients put on a cold, scratchy, paper gown that barely covers them. The three main reasons we hear as to why a facility will use paper is that they think it’s cheaper, cleaner and easier to use. Many people are surprised to learn that reusable items can be more cost effective than disposable alternatives.
