Why shouldn we bring inflatable and other unapproved floatation devises (such as water wings and float belts) into the Aquatic Center?

Floatation devises not approved by the United States Coast Guard (the life jacket will have their approval stamp on it) are not designed to insure that a child using it will return to an upright position (in other words with the face out of the water). These risky devises can leave a child trapped head down or deflate.
