Why shouldn women be drafted into the armed forces in the same proportion as men?
It would be a hypothetical question, as there is no military draft in the United States. If there were one, only men would be drafted, as women are exempt from registering for selective service. It would take an act of Congress to enact a military draft, plus an additional one to draft women. It is just my opinion, but if the genders are equal than women should also be drafted. However, as women are still prohibited from serving in some fields in the military, maybe they should not be drafted in the same proportion.
