Why the Apple Computer in a PC world?
In todays world operating systems are almost entirely interchangeable for the common user. Word programs are used on Mac machines and iPods and graphic programs for Mac are now compatible for PC. Many of our students today can easily interchange between Mac and PC machines. When researching the successful 1:1 initiative schools, it became clear that the best option was the Mac machine. PC vendors are not willing to match the programs offered by Apple, and most schools attempting to develop the 1:1 initiative with PC-based machines have failed for a number of reasons.
