WHY THE SERPENT SYMBOLISM OF CHRIST?

Warren From his book “The Messiah in Ancient America” In the Bible and the Book of Mormon we have references to a very meaningful event while Moses was leading his people throughout the wilderness. When the lives of the people of Moses were threatened as a result of the bites and stings of wilderness serpents, Moses raised a brazen serpent on a pole and declared that all who would look on this serpent would ultimately overcome the bites and stings of the wilderness serpents and be saved from death: Bible reference: And the Lord said unto Moses, make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that if a serpent had bitten my man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.” (Numbers 21:9) Book of Mormon references: 1Ne:17:41: And he did straiten them in the wilderness with his rod; for they hardened their hearts, even as ye have; and the Lord straitened them because of their iniquity. He sent fiery flying serpents among them; and after they we
