Why the Subaru Legacy Wagon?
Other than the reward of making grown men cry, my main reasons for selecting the Subaru Legacy Wagon were 1) the AWD, 2) additional safety features, 3) the cargo capacity, and 4) the compact, economy size. I’ve been basically pleased with my choice in all of these areas. All-wheel drive is a necessity in our region since our roads are often snow-covered for several months out of every year. The Legacy handles admirably well in the winter months, even better than my 4WD truck did (too heavy in the front and light in the rear – kinda like me). However, the one major winter advantage that my truck had over my Subaru was clearance. One winter we had an unusually deep snowfall and my trusty Subaru repeatedly high centered on the snow.
