Why UNDP selected Nestle Pakistan Ltd as its implementing partner?
Owing to a vast network of milk collection and agri services in the largest Punjab province of Pakistan, UNDP requested Nestlé’s participation in the CELDAC initiative. Nestle Pakistan is now implementing partner of UNDP for the Punjab province. In addition to providing financial assistance in grant and kind, the company is also contributing expert assistance from Nestle Agricultural Services. Through this program, Nestle has taken the bold step of going into small villages, seeking out the women who care for dairy animals, and offering them basic training in veterinary skills that will help them to take better care of the livestock of their own and to provide qualitative, timely and cost efficient vet services to their community at their doorsteps. This is how Nestle Pakistan, being an implementing partner, is endeavoring to visualize the project.
