A. A primer has two-fold effect: first- it provides a smooth surface on the material to be painted as it fills up porous material like paper/wood, and thus saves on the paint material (since porous material has tendency to absorb paint). Second- it acts as an anchor/bond between the surface of the material and the paint, resulting in better adhesion, giving longer lasting painted surface. We recommend any good acrylic/nitrocellulose (NC) based primer to be applied with brush or spray on the pre-treated surface as explained under A.6.a. Top Q.8 Can CSP be coated on any material surface? A. It depends on several factors.
