Why use Expanded Polystyrene?
Polystyrene is an economical and efficient solution to all packaging situations. It protects goods without adding extra weight, especially handy for goods in transit. Loose fill allows various shapes/items to be shipped in the same box, cutting down on costs. It is also recyclable and can, for example, be melted down and used as rigid plastic for CD cases. In landfill it doesnt break down so it doesnt give off greenhouse gases and it helps to stabilise the site. What is polyethylene? We supply closed-cell, non-cross-linked polyethylene foam packaging. Put simply, this means it absorbs shock, making it more resilient than polystyrene. It is reusable, which is useful if you have more than one factory and you transport products between sites regularly. It is also water resistant and we can provide a (pink) anti-static version, perfect for transporting delicate electronic equipment.
