Why use Panel Interviews?
There are several reasons that the Board is committed to using panel interviews. Panel interviews typically result in more in-depth evaluation of the candidate’s answers because panel members must discuss the answers and reach consensus. Often the panel interview provides more information about the candidate than a traditional interview because there are multiple interviewers asking clarifying questions. A diverse membership on the panel helps to provide different perspectives and reduce personal biases. An additional benefit of the panel interview is that it emphasizes to the candidate that teamwork is a part of the culture of the organization. Why use a Structured Format?
