Why were the Holy Temple and Dome of The Rock built in the very same spot?
It is all to do with domination and idolatry. Throughout time there have always been forces trying to dominate Jews and Judaism and the Holy Land. Time never stopped before and it isn’t going to stop for them now. We had ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, the Byzantines, Ottomans. All those ancient empires are gone, vanished, kaput, nada, G-d saw to that. The Al Aksa and Dome, two separate structures, were built under Byzantine rule as an allowance to the Muslims to give slap in the face to the Jews. The Byzantine Christians at that time were a dominant power in the area and tried to dissolve Judaism with forced conversion etc. they were strict antisemites that did many horrible things. Al Aksa mosque was constructed because their Islamic prophet was to have had a revelation by Angel Gabriel who led him in a dream. So they built a mosque to where they think he traveled.
