Why won’t the RM heaters fit my existing Z or ZA wall can?

The RM heatbox is larger in size than the Z or ZA heatboxes made in the past (size of wall cans have not changed), but it will fit: • Install the bottom of heatbox first then tilt towards top of the wall can. • Align the mounting tab of heatbox to the small hole at the top/middle of wall can. • Secure the heatbox to wall can with mounting screw. NOTE: If using an in-built thermostat, your new RM will require an RMT2W thermostat.
