Why young horse riders think they know everything?

0

There are a couple of girls at the barn I board at who are like that. They are 9-13 years old, and will ‘correct’ me when I’m riding. I usually politely tell them they are wrong (when they tell me I’m on the wrong diagnol, wrong lead, or my heels aren’t down far enough) or ignore them. Then when I have a chance, I look at them and there toes are down, they are slouched over in the saddle, and hanging onto the horn or mane. I think that some kids love horses and riding so much, and think they are better then they are, so they get a little attitude. Especially when they start getting their own tack, grooming boxes, or other things for the horse they ride. Sometimes, they just learn things that aren’t true, and go on thinking that, until someone tells them they are wrong.
