PC Attatchments even USB based will not work on the ps2 and vice versa

No, but there is a joystick/throttle console that will work on PS2. It was actually part of the Ace Combat deluxe package sold 2 years ago. It’s made by Hori and can be purchased separately. They are pricey. I purchased the ace combat with stick for 180 canadian dollars.
