Will Americans have another revolution when the economy collapses?

I think there is a higher chance of people gorging themselves to death en mass rather than starting a revolution to defend freedom.

Man Hahaha. Id say there is too much fear to rise up against American government. I think America would have to worry about 2012 before it has to worry about a collapse in its economy. If a significant amount of people believe that the world will end, starting in OOHHH… late 2011 there will be raids on major supermarkets and food suppliers i.e Walmart, Super Target, Kroger, as well as weapons & ammunition shops and Outdoor stores, Cabelas, Bass Proshops, Academy, etc. When the government starts to increase protection on the corporations and locations in jeopardy, people will start to raid supplies from their neighbors (not literally but from households because there’s less risk). And then theres always looters too. Hundreds of people will be thrown in Jail. When the incarceration system overflows, riots will break loose and there’s not much the government can do about it short of involving the U.S. Army and National Guard. Eventually these military powers will be forced to use lethal

(1) First one needs to have money to buy ammunition.* (2) Even with lots of guns, there has to be a back up supplier and back up money; such as France provided during the revolution. Since most other countries are also broke it would be pretty much a do it yourself operation fought by an aging people on Social Security, high school drop outs and a few self styled soldier of fortune types. * Ammunition now is not only expensive but has been kept in short supply for years. Most guard units have only been issued minor amounts of .22 ammo for practice since the 1960s. Remember that all governments have a top hand in military supply lines. And, if revolution was a success, looking at the world political scene; who would we get to run it without being in the same or even worse degradation the very next day? Bottom line for most any country right now is anarchy; similar to the Watts riots of some years back and the rampages of younger people in France and Germany in recent years. I don’t see

I agree with Terri. There is no strength left for a revolution. We have a lot of talkers, but that is it. The progressives (they are much worse than libs and have secretly controlled both parties for years) are quickly solidifying their numbers even now. You will see what I mean this year. As for Brown, better check out his stand on other issues before we start thinking we have another pres candidate. It takes a lot more than hot button issues to make a true conservative and that is not Brown.
