Will merit increases be centralized (i.e. 3’s get 2% and 4’s and 5’s get 5%) or will they be at the Departments discretion?
The University’s Board of Visitors will establish salary increases as part of the budget approval process. UHR will develop annual guidelines for merit increases based on the budgeted amount. Schools and units will use these guidelines to determine individual increases. Guidelines will be provided in the form of a range for each evaluation rating rather than a specific amount. Increases above or below those ranges would require additional approval.
