Will Zenyatta win Horse of the Year?
I think Zenyatta is the 3rd choice behind the two you mention, maybe even 2nd behind Big Brown. She is an incredible animal. Curlin really seems to have it all sewn up, though, unless he loses. I think Big Brown has kind of been exposed…he still is, you know, he’s a very good horse, but I think that he walked over pretty easy competition in the first part of the year and we are starting to see that some of the later blooming three year olds are giving him a run for the money. I thought going into the Belmont that he was another Affirmed, but it turned out he’s really another Smarty Jones–a good horse, but barring a win in the Classic that I simply can’t forsee, not a great one. So, I think she has a chance if Curlin somehow peters out. But he’s looked awesome–I mean, his wins have been dominating and his worst race this year is a second in a Grade I to a super classy former Turf champion in his first effort on the sod? No disgrace there at all. I’d vote Curlin, Zenyata, Big Brown,
