Would a c6 transmission fit a 1972 amx javelin ?

not all c6 transmissions will fit the 460, you will notice if you ever have to swap a c6 transmission from the junk yard. there are 4 different tail’s to these c6 transmissions. there are 2 different bell housings for the c6 one for the car and one for the trucks that took these transmissions. and trust me. if it bolted up to the 460 i would have used the engine sitting in the corner in my f150 instead of the 302 Find a 401 and it will bolt right in to all of your original mounts transmission. if you have a 4 speed on the floor not the 3 speed,or the auto on the Console not to be confused with the column … I see ur a pittsburgh fan, so. here goes. I live in the south hills about 10 min from the liberty tubes. if u need help e mail me.
