Would people volunteer to work in a “Soup kitchen” for the homeless?
I’m sure there are opportunities to do this. I volunteer with Union Gospel Mission on the weekends while I’m at university, and they always have volunteers in the kitchen. I think they tend to get volunteers more from the downtown community however, but there should be plenty of other organizations that are looking for someone to serve food.
