This situation has been studied and the answer is No! What happens to you if someone were to approach you and say “Hi, My name is Sandra”. I would immediately experience a strong taste of tinned tomatoes. If my synaesthesia was particularly strong that day, the taste of tinned tomatoes would dominate my senses, if I let it, causing me possible concentration problems!
