How to Make Popcorn Seasoning

  1. Nothing beats sitting at home with a favorite movie and a big bowl of popcorn.  This snack is delicious, satisfying and (best of all) inexpensive.  It was for this reason that popcorn became most popular during the great depression.  In fact, popcorn even dates back as far as 3600BC, when it was enjoyed by the Native Americans.  Popcorn is a popular addition to parties, movie theaters, children’s events, and fund raisers.  It is even found in holiday decorations and packaging materials.  Popcorn is high in fiber, low in calories and fat, and contains no sodium (until you add it, of course), which makes it a very healthy choice for anybody.

The most popular and traditional form of popcorn is with butter and salt.  You can purchase the sweeter kettle corn, as well as cheese covered holiday versions.  Buying these pre-made specialty popcorns can be pricier than the salt-and-butter variety, as well as being much higher in calories and may not even taste as good.  What other toppings have you thought of adding to your popcorn?  One of the best things about this food is that it is so bland that just about any topping can go with it and make it taste amazing. You can create better recipes in your own kitchen, for half the cost and half the calories.  Making popcorn can be a great activity for children, or a unique idea for your next party or holiday.  Try these recipes below from popcorn-recipes.net, get creative and have fun!

*Note: You can substitute olive oil instead of butter to add a healthier twist, and cut the calories and saturated fat.
