  1. Food is essential for a healthy life but some are not eating foods that will prevent cancer. However, with a few helpful hints you can eat foods that will not only prevent cancer but also other major illnesses such as heart disease and stroke.

    Vegetables are Loaded with Antioxidants

    Number One–Vegetables that are dark and leafy green are loaded with antioxidants. These wonderful antioxidants work well to eliminate free radicals from the body before they can cause any damage and are effective in preventing cancer cells from forming. Number Two–Grapes are another antioxidant source and work hard to prevent cancer cells from developing. 

    Fruits work Wonders in Preventative Ways

    Number Three–Fruits such as cherries, cranberries, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries not only work hard to prevent certain kinds of cancer but also prevent other kinds of illnesses such as arthritis, high cholesterol and in some cases shrink the size of tumors.     Number Six–Still another cancer fighting food is whole grains. Whole grains have many anti-cancer fighting ingredients such as fiber and antioxidants. Number Seven– Green tea is still another cancer fighting food. It is the flavonoids in the green tea that help prevent the growth of many cancers such as breast, liver, colon and prostate.

    Number Eight–Garlic is another substance that prevents cancer. It is a compound that that protects against several kinds of cancers such as cancer of the lungs, colon cancer and lung cancer. In addition, certain tropical fruits such as Papaya, are great sources of beta carotene, which lowers the chance of getting lung cancer. Number Nine– Flaxseeds are also a good source of antioxidants and help to lessen and stop changes that begin  when cancer begins to form and take shape. The omega-3 fatty acids in Flaxseeds also help in preventing colon cancer.
