Can a device
oam from one EthIR Beam to another without loosing its network connection?

If the device is a Windows 95/98 notebook or Apple Macintosh Powerbook then, Yes. Once the device detects an interruption in infrared network connectivity it continuously sends out a signal searching for an infrared access point. When it is found and the access point ‘discovers’ the device, network connectivity is restored. If the device is a Windows CE or Palm Pilot then, No. Any interruption in infrared network connectivity will have to be re-established but this is merely a point and click situation.
