I have to disagree with those who say ‘just pay it’. If you feel you are in the right, then why should you? The truth is that for the vast majority of private parking contractors, its simply not worth the effort of taking people to court over such a relatively small sum of money, so while you will receive the odd threatening letter, the chances of them actually doing anything about it are somewhere between miniscule and zero. Many of these private car parks issue tickets at the drop of a hat: having one wheel outside the marked bay, for example, when its almost impossible to squeeze a large car into their miniscule bays…..
