Can i keep crushed coral with?
Absolutely. I’m not exactly sure why you’d want to (the marine salt will buffer the pH for you, as will the sand, likely aragonite or coral based), though. It won’t be a problem for the Clown, or any other fish. Protein skimmers work to create bubbles which exploit the higher surface tension of salt water to attract dissolved organics. The bubbles are collected in a “cup”, which you can then clean to remove the organics from the tank before they fully decay, leading to ammonia>nitrite>nitrate as well as higher phosphate levels. EDIT: Nope. EDIT 2: Live coral or crushed coral? You could get a few pounds of crushed coral for a few dollars, while a frag (fragment) of a coral colony could cost anywhere from $10-200 depending on size, quality, species, and where it came from. On top of that, for live corals, you’d need a far more complex lighting system, and you should consider a protein skimmer and calcium/magnesium/trace element dosing. EDIT 3: Crushed coral and dolomite are VERY differen
