Can ISA registration be transferred to another employer?

0

Yes. ISA registration involves a one off application and will apply to any future setting where the person is working or volunteering with children and/or vulnerable adults, as appropriate. Once the individual has registered, their registration status will be subject to continuous monitoring and when the CRB becomes aware of new relevant information about that individual, they will inform the ISA. The ISA will then consider whether or not this information should affect their registration status. The new employer should request the individual’s ISA registration ID number and will be able to go on-line check to verify their registration status, this check will confirm that they are either registered or not registered. It will not disclose any information about any barring, this information must be obtained as part of an enhanced CRB check. If they are not registered – whatever the reason – they cannot be appointed into regulated activity (or controlled activity from 2014).
