Can JON manage Apache 2.2 instances?

0

JON 1.4 does not officially provide support for Apache 2.2 and beyond. We are looking into adding support for these versions in a future release. While it is not officially supported, Apache 2.2 instances can be managed via JON. The server will not be autodiscovered, but it can be manually added to inventory. The following steps may be used to manually add an entry for an Apache 2.2 server: • Instrument the Apache 2.2 instance by building and installing the Apache SNMP module as per the Apache 2.0 section of the Apache product configuration instructions. Before running the build, make the build file modifications described here. • Navigate to the platform on which the Apache 2.2 instance resides. • Click the “New Server” link in the top right. • Enter a name for the server. • For “Server Type” select “Apache 2.0” • Fill in the Install Path to point to the Apache 2.2 instance on the platform. • Click OK.
