Can Polyhedra be used in embedded systems?

0

Many embedded systems due to their application requirements need to operate in a real-time mode and without a system disk. As the Polyhedra database is memory resident and high speed it is therefore highly suitable for these types of embedded systems. Embedded requirements are also becoming increasingly demanding. As the Polyhedra database (RTRDB) can be considered a programming environment with persistent storage, using our object-oriented configuration language (CL), it is possible to set up all kinds of triggers, design complex integrity checks, and specify knock-on actions following changes. CL runs inside the database process, and so has efficient access to the data/objects in the database; the work of clients is reduced, and so the volume of information passing via the client-server links is thus reduced. Polyhedra also offers an embedded interface on the embedded platforms.
