How are Polyhedra applications for embedded systems developed?

0

The development of a Polyhedra database for embedded systems is undertaken on a host computer, using all the standard Polyhedra database tools and components. The host computer can be any platform supported by Polyhedra, such as the Unix (e.g Solaris, HP/UX, AIX etc.) or Windows 95/NT operating systems. Once the database has been developed on the host machine the developed database application is then downloaded to the target machine (e.g. Motorola PowePC, Intel X86 etc.) using a set of linked libaries (provided by Polyhedra) for the specific target machine. If use is being made of the C++ client API, the application developer will require a C++ compiler for the target system; Polyhedra databases and compiled CL code are machine-independent.
