Can teddy bear hamsters live together?

0

Your hamster may be very friendly with other animals, but most Syrians (the general name for larger hamsters like teddy bears) are solitary when it comes to other hamsters. Once they’re grown, the will usually fight if kept together. Your hamster may enjoy the company of the cats and dogs, but she may not appreciate having another hamster living with her. And there’s no garauntee the other hamster will be as friendly. Your best bet if you want a second hamster is to keep her in a separate cage. You can try introducing them, but hamsters can end up fighting to the death and fights can occur without much warning. So you’re probably better off safe than sorry.
