Do Conservatives consider President Obama a vast improvement on Bush?
The so-called conservatives (although I’m not sure they have actually earned that specification if it applies to financial prowess) are afraid to acknowledge that President Obama is HUGELY better than Bush or Cheney. Some of them are probably embarassed, I suspect, for not standing up to Bush/Cheney policies when they had control of both the House and the Senate, for spending this nation into a huge hole, and for the illegal war in Iraq, the unlawful torture of detainees in either GITMO or Abu Ghraib, the illegal wire tapping of U.S. citizens, the monitoring of library books people checked out—all of these idiotic or viciously illegal actions that they didn’t even try to stop. If President Obama succeeds in reversing the effects of these failed policies, maybe they feel they will have no credibility with voters, so many of them have opted to downplay, distort, or denigrate everything the Obama administration tries to do or say. They may CONSIDER President Obama to be a vast improveme
The better he is than Bush, they more they hate him. The disaster of the Bush presidency means nothing to them. International respect means nothing to them. Conservatives are so wrapped up in their outdated and disproven ideology that nothing Obama does will be seen as good by them because he is not following their absurd policies.
