Yes, EVRC-WB does utilize some level of forward error correction codes (FEC) incorporated in the EVRC-WB bit-stream. Beyond that, you may add your own error correction and/or encryption. 14.2 Q: What about Frame Erasure, Burst Error, and Error Concealment? A: Our EVRC-WB is “packetized-network-ready”. It accepts signals for frame erasure or burst error, and utilizes special techniques for error concealment in order to maintain its quality even in severe Frame Erasure Rate (FER) conditions.
