Does the DriveRack PX only work with powered speakers?
The DriveRack PX will also work with non-powered speakers. However, there will be no presets in the PX for non-powered speaker models. This means it will take more know-how to configure the device. You will have to select “Custom” for your speakers since they will not be listed in the System Setup Wizard. As for setup, just select “Custom” for your main and sub speakers. When the PX attempts to run the Auto Leveler just press the PRESET button to get back to the main program screen. You can now edit your parameters and gain structure manually and then enter the Auto EQ to resume with the Wizards. Important Note! The DriveRack PX can run up to a 2 way system, but does not have any output delay. So if you are using a bi-amped type speaker system, which requires driver alignment delay, we recommend using the DriveRack PA, which has up to 10 ms of delay for driver alignment.
