Does the Federal Government fund Nanotechnology?

0

The federal government has been funding nanotechnology for about 10 years. The budget has grown rapidly, from $200M or so in 1996 to close to $1B in 2005. Nor is the US alone in funding nanotechnology. Both Europe and Japan have also ramped up spending in this area, and Japan is spending comparable amounts or more than the US. China also has made impressive strides in nanotechnology research. For more information check out www.nano.gov.
