Does the Scale Master measure irregular (versus rectangular/LXW) areas?

A. No. You cannot measure irregular areas or volumes with the Scale Master. A more expensive planimeter or digitizer is needed for kidney shapes, circles and areas you cannot block off into squares or rectangles. However, rectangular areas can be found using the Scale Master by simply multiplying (L x W). This is done by using the [M+] [Mx] keys with the Scale Master Classic or the dedicated [Length] [Width] and [SQ/CU] keys with the Scale Master II.
