How are individuals on psychotropic medications monitored for appropriate dosages?
Each individual’s medications are monitored and varied according to his or her doctor’s recommendations. Additionally, the case of any participant who is taking psychotropic medication is confidentially presented before The Arc’s Human and Legal Rights Committee on a regular basis. This is done to ensure that the use of chemical restraints is not abused or without justification.
