“I joined during a placement year at university (a sandwich placement) I didn’t have a job so I looked around all the different construction companies. I saw Bovis Lend Lease and they really attracted me. Mainly for construction management and though I was studying civil engineering, I wanted to get some practical experience, get out on site and really to see how it all kind of fits together on works and in practise. I came and did a placement year with them and then they offered me sponsorship for my final year at uni. I didn’t have to take out a loan in my final year, just carried on and then a few months after graduating I started here in Harrow.” What real responsibilities have you had on projects? “Down on site I was dealing with several package management items, lightning protection, and concrete frames.
