The English Lop was one of the original breeds of rabbits, they actually had the lopped ears prior to being domesticated. Your other lop breeds were the result of selective breeding’s of different straight eared rabbit breeds to the English Lop, then many generations of selective breeding’s there after, with even more different breeds thrown in the mix to get your various sizes of lop eared rabbit.
