How do AIHA and ACGIH remain autonomous?
Both would continue to have separate and independent Boards, just as they do now. Both would continue to be separately incorporated. AIHA would provide funding to ACGIH; however, both organizations would share services to maximize efficiencies, and would operate/act in an integrated way in the best interests of the profession. Members have asked the important question about how ACGIH would select its leadership if it is not a “membership” organization. We are looking into the options that are available now. We plan to provide additional information in the fall of 2009.
