How do i get noticed for writing songs?
1) If you could “probably” sing your songs, you “probably” should do some karaoke or choir and get comfortable singing. Do plays, start a band, jam with others, whatever it takes to get comfortable doing music making outside your private writing areas. 2) The professionals make “demos” (recorded versions of their written songs with instruments and singing) to send to record companies. Practice your songs like you will be cutting a demo. 3) Post your songs where they can be seen. Everyone screams “someone will steal them!”, but you can save a copy on your computer to prove it’s yours. I do this all the time. People “copyright” their songs when they believe they have a good chance to make money off them. It’s expensive, but if you’re a professional it’s a business expense.
