Instructions for setting up a BellSouth supplied Westell 2100/2200/6100s in “Bridged Ethernet” Mode. If you put the Westell in bridged mode you will require a PPPoE client in order to connect to BSFA. You can use the BellSouth Connection Agent, Enternet 300, RasPPPoE, the native PPPoE client on Windows XP, or any router with PPPoE capabilities. Despite what any help desk tech tells you, resetting the modem does not put it into Bridged Mode. It is highly recommended that you click here and update your Westell firmware. Important Note: You will unable to access the Westell interface if using bridged mode in conjunction with another router. Click here for more details.
