How Do You Clean Floor Buffing Machine Pads?
Floor buffers aren’t necessarily the most common household cleaning tools, but they are indispensable for their ability to give floors a stunning shine. Unfortunately, the often expensive buffer pads that these machines use can become quickly gummed up with floor wax, rendering them ineffective after too few uses. But before you start replacing those gummy pads, you might want to give this system a try. You may find that those used pads have lots of life left in them after a thorough cleaning. Set up the ironing board and plug in the iron. Set the iron to its hottest setting and allow it to fully warm up. Lay a buffer pad on the ironing board with the waxy side facing up. Cover the waxy side with a double thickness of paper towels. Run the hot iron over the paper towels, moving it back and forth quickly for about 20 seconds.
