Tote bags are so handy that it’s nice to have several. They are easy to make and you can whip one up with scraps of material you have on hand or get the latest designer fabrics to really make a statement. Instructions for this tote make it reversible. Choose two fabrics that coordinate well and get sewing. Lay your first piece of fabric on a flat surface. Measure two rectangles that are the desired size of the tote bag body, adding 1 inch to each measurement for 1/2-inch seam allowances. Cut out the rectangles. Lay out the second piece of fabric and cut out two rectangles that are the same size as those from your first piece of fabric. Set aside. Stitch the two fabric rectangles of your first piece of fabric–right sides together–on three sides. Leave the top open. Turn the fabric right side out and iron. Stitch the two rectangles of your second piece of fabric–right sides together–on three sides. Leave the top open. Do not turn right side out. Choose one of the fabrics to be the ha
