How Do You Make Essential Oils For A Diffuser?

0

You can make your own essential oils for a diffuser without an expensive still. The concentration of these homemade oils won’t be quite as great as in commercially prepared versions, but they will emit a lasting fragrance when used in a diffuser. Although the steps are fairly basic, allow about a week to complete the steps. Place 1 cup of flowers into the plastic bag. Squeeze out as much air as you can, and seal the bag. Use the meat tenderizer or mallet to gently but firmly beat the flowers a few times. This helps release the flowers’ natural oils. Shake all the flowers and flower materials from the plastic bag into the jar. Pour the oil over the flowers and mix well. Seal the jar and place it in a warm spot such as a sunny window or near the stove for about 2 days. Open the jar and filter the oil through cheesecloth. Return the oil to the jar, and discard the flowers. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 with another cup of flowers. Add them to the same oil you used with the first batch of flowers.
