How Do You Make Triple Chocolate Brownies?

0

The first known recipe for brownies was published in the 1897 Sears Roebuck Catalogue. The brownie is classified as a bar cookie and the origin is thought to be American. Brownies can be made as a cake-like substitute or fudge. You can add any number of nuts, confections or chopped cookies to jazz up this age old dessert! Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a nine by thirteen inch pan. Melt butter in a large pot. Add sugar and cocoa to melted butter. Mix with spoon until blended. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Combine the flour, salt and baking powder in a small bowl. Mix well. Add flour, salt and baking powder to chocolate mix. Mix well. Add candies. Pour mix into pan and bake for 28 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature. While the brownies are baking, make the ganache icing. Bring the cream, butter and sugar to a boil over medium heat. Add the chocolate, remove from heat, and let stand for a few minutes. Stir until all chocolate is melted and smooth.
